The following displays were created using my Ledge Village files available here . Some are by me but many others have done beautiful things with these same files. If you have photos of your projects send them to me at marji@3dcuts.com to be included in this page. I love sharing ideas!

In my most recent display I added fairy lights purchased from Amazon. I simply cut small holes in the back using an x-acto knife and inserted the tiny lights.

Think about using Ledge Village designs in shadow boxes. Here is Christmas Eve shadow box featuring Porch House and lamp posts (new in 2020). It is illuminated!

Here is another shadow box I designed using the cottage from Ledge Village. It is a great Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day gift. I did illuminate it although that is optional. Cutting files for Home is Where the Heart Is are here.

In 2020 I added Tudor Manor, Tower House v2, Porch House and the Lamp post. I also put up a tutorial with suggestions on how to add lighting to your Ledge Village houses.

Sometimes simplicity is the best solution of all. I just love the simple elegance of this design created by Nicole Jolle for her family and daughters. She used just the Greek Revival House from Ledge Village.

Cheryl Leclaric shared these two shadow boxes on Pinterest. I am not sure if she created them or just shared them but the crafter took my Ledge Village Buildings and used them in illuminated shadow boxes along with some creative lighting. I love them!

Meg Holland made an incredible Ledge Village that is 9 feet long. She added blue lights but also varied sizes to create depth. She also combined the village with other files to create a wonderful, creative scene. Here are some detail shots and a complete view. You can see she does lots of 3d construction. There are many files from many artists on display - all completed by Meg.

Krystal Zilinkas shared a photograph other Ledge Village on The Silhouette Card Making & Paper crafts Facebook group. She created a mantle display with the village.

Raeann Thorpe created this beautiful shadow box using the Chapel and trees cutting files from Ledge Village. She combined them many different items fro her craft stash and used vinyl to add lettering to the glass. This is a great example of expanding ideas with ones own creativity.

Here is another shadow box I found while scrolling in Pinterest. This artist also used my Ledge Village files to create this design. I love the restrained use of color. It is a delightful design.

This incredibly creative display is by Paola Masutti of Italy. It includes both files from Ledge village and the Star Nativity. The cloud is just an amazing addition that gives the essence of a dream world. 2019

Diane Lachenmeier just shared her Ledge Village on the Circuit Design Space Facebook group.  I love how she used the colors but kept a black accent on every building. It is a great design element. I think another option might be to do all the buildings in brown kraft colored card stock with the black accents.

Debra Barrow of Herman Miller in Zeeland, MI sent this photo to me of her Ledge Village. . She commented, "We have a stairway in our office that we decorated with Ledge houses over Christmas.  The base of the stairs is an I-beam painted black which gave a perfect spot to ground the houses, we only had to figure out how to deal with the angle on the stair treads.  We filled the base with fluffy “snow” (quilt batting) which worked perfectly.  The ledge houses were a big hit, made for a festive decoration for the holiday."

Displays created by others.....

Jennifer McArthur from Pickled Cherry Paper arranged Ledge Village on a round mirror. Special details included the fence around the outside and the tiny punched snowflakes. Beautiful!

Mary Lynnes from Illinois recently sent along this photo of the village she has created above her kitchen cabinets. I love that she has add touches of green ivy nestled among the buildings.

Mary Lynne found the perfect ledge for a Ledge Village display above her entry door.

Mhairi Hastings added a skating pond to her interpretation of Ledge Village.

Jodi Stephens Lombardo made both my Ledge Village (top) and Tea Light Village (bottom) and added fairy lights and snow. I have just learned about Fairy lights. I always used LED tea lights but I love the fairy lights and will try them in some of my new designs.

Ledge Village Displays in my home....

Here is a village lined up on a window ledge. I like when the sun shines through.

Here is a village on a door frame. This is in my craft room which has denim blue walls.

Here is a grouping on a floating shelf .

And my entire village is on display on a ledge in my Sunroom. It is too wide to photograph so here is a video.
